Canadian Adventist Youth Summit – Quebec City

Introduction To The Event Space

Canadian Adventist Youth Summit (CAYS) is a biennial event sponsored by the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Canada.  The summit seeks to gather youth and young adults, especially young leaders within our churches and on public campuses across Canada, to offer opportunities for spiritual growth, leadership empowerment and interpersonal networking.

According to the theme, “Creator Unknown”, the intent of this year’s summit is to challenge Adventist youth to discover more fully their Creator and to be moved to enjoy a deeper relationship with Him. Our hope is that, by this experience, Canadian youth would live out their lives in positive ways to impact the world around them

Keynote Speaker

Pastor Joseph Khabbaz, youth & young adult pastor of Sligo Seventh-day Adventist Church Joseph Khabbaz is the Pastor for Youth and Young Adults at Sligo Church in Takoma Park, Maryland, United States.

Originally from Sydney, Australia, Joseph served as Director of Tertiary and Young Adult Ministries for the South Queensland Conference prior to his call to Sligo Church. Joseph has worked as a Chartered Accountant (CPA’s equivalent) for a leading Australian accountancy firm before leaving the corporate world to study at the Andrews Theological Seminary for the ministry.

His passion is to empower youth and young adults in their journey to become disciples of Jesus and emulate Christ’s life and ministry in all that they do. He and his wife Christina enjoy overseas mission trips, playing basketball and spending quality time with family and friends.
